Can Mineral Makeup Help Blemishes
We often search for makeup to help cover up imperfections such as blemishes. But when doing so, it can be important to check the ingredients list, as they can be the culprit of these things. We developed our products focusing on skin health first and foremost. For example, traditional heavy foundations are known to worsen blemishes due to them blocking pores, however, the balancing clays and minerals in mineral makeup won’t clog pores or react with the skin. Plus, it may also help absorb excess oil and keep bacteria off your skin.
Ever heard the term “Non-Comedogenic” before? If a cosmetic or ingredient is comedogenic, that means that it has the potential to clog pores and lead to blackheads, breakouts and blemishes. And therefore, something non-comedogenic is a product or ingredient that won’t clog your pores. And yes, you’re in luck. All of the products in our range are Non-Comedogenic, woohoo!
Now here’s the catch, not all mineral makeup out there are the same, and in fact, some can still contain bulking ingredients like Talc, Nylon, Starch (Rice and Corn) and other undesirable ingredients that may cause allergic reactions, breakouts or irritations. “Sigh – Nothings ever easy ☹”. True mineral makeup shouldn’t contain any of these above-mentioned ingredients, but instead should be made from a combination of any of the following ingredients: Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Iron Oxides, Mica or Boron Nitride.”
Our range of Mineral Makeup is fantastic for all skin types but especially great for those suffering from blemishes and sensitive skin.
