The perfect pair for happy hair and a healthy scalp. Our Hair Care Duo includes two of our bestsellers – the gentle Milk Shampoo and the nourishing Cream Conditioner. Suitable for all ages, genders and hair types (yes, really!), this duo is family-friendly, scalp-soothing and completely free from the nasties that weigh your hair down.

Each Duo includes:

1x 500ml Milk Shampoo: A natural, gentle shampoo with Milk Protein to support hair strength, Piroctone Olamine to keep scalps balanced and five natural cleansers for a thorough yet gentle wash.

1x 500ml Cream Conditioner: A lightweight, hydrating conditioner with Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil and Milk Protein to soften, detangle and revitalize without weighing hair down.

How to use: Wet hair, massage 1-3 pumps of Milk Shampoo into the scalp and rinse thoroughly. For a deeper cleanse, shampoo twice. After shampooing, squeeze out excess water and work Cream Conditioner through the lengths of your hair. Leave on for 1-3 minutes before rinsing well.

Because we make our products for our families, we have a strict ingredient philosophy that excludes ingredients like Parabens, Phenoxyethanol and penetration enhancers.

Why is Milk Shampoo great for sensitive scalps?

Got an itchy, sensitive or fussy scalp? You’re not alone and our Milk Shampoo is here to help. It’s packed with gentle, effective ingredients like Piroctone Olamine and Allantoin to help calm irritation and support your scalp’s microflora (aka the good bacteria party happening up top). A blend of 5 coconut and glucose-based cleansers do the clean-up without stripping and irritating, for scalps prone to Dandruff, Eczema, Psoriasis or Dermatitis.

Does your shampoo strip color?

Short answer: Nope!

Long answer: Our Milk Shampoo is SLS-free, Sulphate-free and pH-balanced, meaning it’s not alkaline (which is what can open up your hair cuticle and wash color down the drain). While we don’t slap a “color-lock” label on it, the formula naturally helps keep your hair color where it belongs, in your hair, not your shower.

Will MooGoo ever make a shampoo bar?

We love reducing plastic as much as the next eco-friendly Herd, but we haven’t been able to create a shampoo bar that’s natural, scalp-friendly and still lives up to our MooGoo standards. Most shampoo bars are alkaline, which can leave your hair feeling squeaky (and not in a good way) and open the hair cuticle (which strips color!). We’d rather give your scalp and hair the gentle care it deserves.

Is Cream Conditioner suitable for curly or frizzy hair?

100%! Our curly-haired customers love it for keeping frizz at bay and curls hydrated without feeling heavy or greasy. It’s rich enough to moisturize and light enough to let curls do their thing. Some even use it as a co-wash (aka “no-poo method”) instead of shampoo!

I have dry / oily hair. Do you have a shampoo for that?

Fun fact: shampoo for oily hair usually just has more cleansers, while dry-hair formulas have less. So instead of creating 47 different bottles for different hair types, we kept it simple. Use a little more if your hair’s on the oilier side, and a little less if it’s feeling dry. Easy peasy.

Is this product made of milk?

Nope, no fresh milk here! While the name’s inspired by our first product (which was a cream made for cow udders – really!), we don’t pour milk into bottles. What we do use is Milk Protein from a credible Aussie supplier. It’s been shown to help protect and condition hair, giving it strength and bounce without weighing it down. So your hair gets the benefits of milk, without going off on the shelf.

What does "Dermatologically Tested" mean?

You may have seen the term “Dermatologically Tested” on lots of products before, but did you know there’s not an actual definition or regulation for this term? Because that didn’t sit right with us, and because our aim is to make products for people with really sensitive skin, we decided to send a bunch of them off to be tested in an independent lab on 54 people who reported having sensitive skin. The results were given on a scale of 0 to 5 with 0 being no irritation or redness and 5 being a reaction. We’re happy to report that other than one person who had a reaction to the adhesive on the patch and another who found the patches painful to remove, all subjects reported 0 for redness and irritation for all the products we sent for testing. 'Fragrance' is listed as one of the ingredients in this product. What does this mean?

Fair question, especially if you have sensitive skin. We used to use essential oils for fragrance, but even small amounts can cause big reactions for some. So we created a special kind of fragrant oil, where every component is natural and below the EU allergy threshold. That means no nasties, no phthalates, and no more itchy scalps from a whiff of shampoo. Just a fresh scent that’s safe for sensitive skin.

I have dry / oily hair. Is this conditioner right for me?

Both of our conditioners are made for all hair types - it’s just about how you use it! If your hair tends to be oily, use a smaller amount and focus on the ends. If it’s on the dry side, apply a little more and let it soak in before rinsing. No need for separate formulas made to suit dry or oily - just adjust to what your hair needs!

Can I use this conditioner on kids or during pregnancy?

Absolutely. Our Cream Conditioner is made with gentle, skin-friendly ingredients - free from silicones, harsh chemicals and artificial fragrances. It’s safe for use on kids, during pregnancy and even for bub’s first curls.

Is Cream Conditioner color-safe?

Yes! Our formula is gentle, non-stripping, and made without harsh detergents or sulphates, making it safe to use on color-treated or chemically processed hair.

I can’t seem to get all of the product out of the bottle with the pump? Why is this happening?

When it comes to products with higher viscosity (thicker in nature), it can be harder for them to be dispensed through a pump system when the product is running low. This means that you might not be able to access every last drop with the pump provided. To get your hands on the last bit of product in the bottle after it can no longer be pumped, simply turn the bottle upside down and allow the product to make its way to the top of the bottle with the help of gravity. Now when you unscrew the cap, the product will be there ready for you to use and enjoy as needed. Another trick to getting the last bit of Conditioner out of the bottle is to add a small amount of water and shake together with the remaining product to make it a bit thinner so it can more easily be dispensed through the pump.
