Our Milk Wash is one of our most popular products. We combine small amounts of 5 different natural cleaners as this can be gentler on skin than one concentrated cleanser. We chose natural cleansers that wash well without drying out the skin. The foaming action isn’t quite as intense as it would if we used a synthetic detergent like SLS (or other common culprits that end in –fate), but we’re happy to make this small trade-off to use more natural ingredients that are healthier for us and the environment. Ever think about what happens to your wash products after they go down the drain? Synthetic ingredients don’t break down into their natural components easily in the water system as natural ones do.
We also use a mix of natural skin conditioning ingredients. We don't use any essential oils that can also trigger reactions, but instead, a blend of Vanilla with the allergy-triggering compounds removed. Because it’s so gentle it’s also a no-tears formulation in children's eyes. If you are a car mechanic, you may need something a bit stronger, but if you wish to stay clean without stripping the skin of oils, we think this formula is the bee’s knees. Suitable for all ages, body part and skin types.
- I recently purchased the Milk Wash, it is the best face cleanser I have ever used. Every other cleanser leaves my skin feeling very tight and dry. Your Milk Wash is the only cleanser that still leaves my skin so smooth and soft. It feels great! – Vanessa
- This product is gorgeous. Wow! I will absolutely use this until the day I die (so never discontinue it!). SOO moisturising and you only need to use a tiny bit. My skin feels like SKIN after I use it, it' so happy. Ahh. It's like soft little silk fingers all over my face – Mary
- Your Milk Wash is a lifesaver. I never thought I will be able to have as beautiful skin as I do now. Thank you for making products with no chemicals and more natural ingredients, I'm beyond thrilled – Jess

Are you cleansers safe for lash extensions?
The Milk Wash is great for lash extensions. It has the same irritation score as water and uses a combination of gentle natural cleansers. Oils can break down the glue used, so steer clear of any oil-based cleansers like our Oil Cleansing Method on the eye area whilst you’ve got lashes on.
Is this product made of milk?
We aren’t called MooGoo because our products are based on milk. Fresh milk in a moisturiser would go off and be smelly. Yuck! We do use ethically and sustainably sourced Australian Milk Protein in some of our skincare products because research has found that it can increase skin elasticity by up to 20%. Skin elasticity ensures lines and wrinkles are minimized after any movement of the skin.
Can this product be used on the face and body, or just the body?
Absolutely! All MooGoo cleansers are for everyone and everywhere. Use on the face & body, suitable for all ages and skin types.
What does "Dermatologically Tested" mean?
You may have seen the term “Dermatologically Tested” on lots of products before, but did you know there’s not an actual definition or regulation for this term? Because that didn’t sit right with us, and because our aim is to make products for people with really sensitive skin, we decided to send a bunch of them off to be tested in an independent lab on 54 people who reported having sensitive skin. The results were given on a scale of 0 to 5 with 0 being no irritation or redness and 5 being a reaction. We’re happy to report that other than one person who had a reaction to the adhesive on the patch and another who found the patches painful to remove, all subjects reported 0 for redness and irritation for all the products we sent for testing. To check out the full report and summary of the test we did on this product, click here.
'Fragrance' is listed as one of the ingredients in this product. What does this mean?
When we first started making products, we used a blend of essentials oils to give them a lovely fragrance. But many people have severe reactions and allergies to them, even in small amounts. As a result, and because we make products for people with sensitive skin, we took them out of most products. Instead, we helped to develop a special kind of fragrant oil, whereby each component in it is less than the EU allergy threshold. This is how we can have a pleasant-smelling product without the reactions. The scents we use are proprietary blends from the company we get them from, and we’ve had no reactions since we made the switch. Also, of course, it is free from phthalates, which is the main concern in fragrances.
